Vivek Patel is a highly skilled Principal Software Development Engineer with over 12 years of experience in the software industry. Currently, he is working at Informatica as a Principal Software Engineer, where he is responsible for the design and development of the Informatica Connector SDK. This framework allows internal and external developers to build connectors for the Informatica platform, enabling IT organizations to access and integrate all enterprise data sources. Vivek's expertise lies in designing models and APIs for SDK, implementing SDK features such as metadata and data handling, hierarchical metadata, pushdown optimization, and decimal 38 data type in SDK. He has also worked on the CCI (Common Consumer Interface) framework, which is aimed at Informatica's "Build once and deploy anywhere" strategy for connectors. He has designed metadata features such as custom query, filter, join, and an inter-process communication framework to support CCI metadata with Power Center.
