Vivek Prakash is the Co-Founder and CEO of Codingal, a global online school for K-12 students to learn Computer Science. He is passionate about inspiring school kids to fall in love with coding, as it helps improve logical thinking and problem-solving skills by 70% among kids at a young age, also enabling them to perform better in other subjects in school. Moreover, coding jobs are the future. They already constitute more than 60% of all jobs in science, technology, engineering, and math. Before Codingal, Vivek and his team built HackerEarth, one of the largest platforms for Computer Science students and software engineers to participate in coding competitions and online hackathons. Today, HackerEarth is a household name in the developer community and has over 3.5 million developers globally. It provides an AI-powered developer assessment software that helps organizations to accurately measure a developer’s skills through online coding tests. Vivek is a seasoned entrepreneur with 9.20 years of relevant experience in the tech industry. He holds a B.Tech & M.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Roorkee and has a strong tech stack that includes AI, Senior Software Engineer, Python, and Django. He also co-founded MyCareerStack while still in college, which was a community of computer science students who could prepare for technical interviews with the help of learning resources and asking questions from each other. Vivek is a visionary leader who is passionate about empowering every student with the tools, content, and live coding classes to start learning to code and build anything they can imagine. He believes that learning to code at a young age will inspire more kids, including girls, to take up Computer Science as a major when entering college. Vivek is a Y Combinator W21 alum and is dedicated to making a positive impact on the world through education and technology.
