Vivek Puthiyedath is a highly skilled C/C++ Developer and System/Kernel Programmer with a passion for Cyber Security. With over 7 years of relevant experience, he is currently working as a Lead Software Engineer at Qualys, where he is responsible for developing Filter Driver for Microsoft Windows, Callout Drivers Using WFP, and EDR and FIM part for Qualys Agent. He is also working on the agent rearchitecture project and customer requirements and issues. Prior to joining Qualys, Vivek worked as a Manager R&D at Spell Security, a Qualys company, where he managed releases and designed and developed various security modules. He also developed Filter Driver for Microsoft Windows, Windows Filtering Platform based network filtering driver, and Detection Modules for various Exploits in Microsoft Windows. He used Amazon EC2, RDS, and S3 for developing and testing and designed and developed complex algorithms for various modules. He also did Vulnerability Analysis and Penetration Testing for various websites and web apps and analyzed APT and Exploit Kits. He was involved in several projects, including SpellHunt, a threat hunting platform built on top of osquery, and SpellPhish, a phishing simulation tool to train employees against phishing attacks. Before joining Spell Security, Vivek worked as a Software Engineer at Butterfly Portal, where he was responsible for Android and Java Development. Vivek holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Network Engineering from Mahatma Gandhi University and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Calicut. Vivek's technical skills include C, C++, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, MongoDB, and Web. He is a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning new technologies.
