Vivek R is a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer with nearly 12 years of experience in designing and developing Cloud applications in Azure. He possesses a strong interest in programming, which started when he was just 14 years old, and has since been continuously learning new ways of designing systems and languages, including C, C++, C#, Python, and Scala. Vivek has a strong background in Object Oriented Programming, Functional Programming, Domain Driven Design, Microservices, and distributed systems. He has designed a Vegetable Shopping Cart app using J2ME on his Windows CE mobile phone during his final year project in college, which is now a common feature in most stores. Currently working at Walmart as a Staff Software Engineer, Vivek has also worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Dell and a Senior Implementation Engineer at Riversand. At Dell, he refactored legacy code with parallel programming techniques, which improved the responsiveness of the application by 25%, and accelerated feature development by 50%, enabling bi-weekly deployment through containers via docker images and avoiding environmental inconsistencies. At Riversand, he designed and analyzed requirements, customized the Master Data Management product based on client requirements, and migrated customer data using SSIS and application migration to Responsive design, which improved the application responsiveness by 20%. Vivek has experience in DevOps, Integration, test, SQL, Redis, Selenium, Mobile, Docker, infra, Databricks, Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS, product designer, Pandas, Spring Boot, Spring, UI, and Web.
