Vivek Ramachandran is the Founder and CEO of Pentester Academy, a pioneer in online subscription-based Cyber Security Training. With over 18 years of relevant experience, Vivek has established himself as an expert in Wi-Fi security and has discovered numerous attacks and created innovative solutions to counter them. He has authored multiple books on Wi-Fi security, which have sold over 20,000 copies worldwide and have been translated into multiple languages. Vivek has trained thousands of customers from government agencies, Fortune 500 companies, and smaller enterprises from over 90 countries. He is a regular speaker/trainer at top security conferences such as Blackhat USA, Europe and Abu Dhabi, DEFCON, Brucon, HITB, Hacktivity, and others. Vivek’s work on wireless security has been quoted in BBC online, InfoWorld, MacWorld, The Register, IT World Canada, and others. In his past life, Vivek was one of the programmers of the 802.1x protocol and Port Security in Cisco’s 6500 Catalyst series of switches. He was also one of the winners of the Microsoft Security Shootout contest held in India among a reported 65,000 participants. He has published multiple research papers in the field of DDoS, ARP Spoofing Detection, and Anomaly-based Intrusion Detection Systems. Vivek has worked in various capacities in other companies like Cisco, Airtight Networks, and others before starting his own. He holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. With his expertise in Wi-Fi security and his contributions to the field, Vivek Ramachandran has established himself as a thought leader in the cybersecurity industry.
