Vivek Ramamoorthy is an accomplished engineering leader with over 7 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is the Software Development Manager at Amazon where he is leading the Rentals logistics engineering team responsible for reverse logistics, routing and shipment, grading, procurement, and bringing inventory back to outbound fulfillment centers. Vivek has been involved in all phases of the software life cycle, including architecture, design, development, production launch, maintenance, and deprecation. He has a strong passion for building technology that gives back to the planet and growing people to become highly functional. Prior to his current role, Vivek served as the Software Development Manager for Amazon's Customer Service Technologies, where he led a 9-member engineering team that built the Guided workflows platform. This UI-driven asynchronous workflow platform enabled Amazon to easily build intuitive workflows for their customer service needs. Vivek has also held various positions at Amazon, including Software Development Team Lead and Software Development Engineer II, Digital Content and Commerce Platform. In the latter role, he was part of the Digital Content and Commerce Platform group that built core platforms to enable building digital businesses such as Ebooks, Apps, Videos, Music, etc. He has experience designing and developing software from scratch, including interfacing with Product Managers, dependent teams, and taking it to release. He built the lifecycle management systems to handle high volume temporary ownership transactions such as Kindle Unlimited, Kindle Owners Lending Library, Free trials, etc. Vivek holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University. His technical expertise includes software engineering and UI design. With over 11 years of relevant experience, Vivek is a seasoned professional who is passionate about building innovative technology and leading high-performing teams.
