Vivek Samantray is a Software Developer Data Warehouse at Paycom with a strong background as a Business Intelligence Engineer and Data Analyst for the past six years. He has an excellent academic background in technology, specializing in computer and data sciences, which he combines to design and develop solutions in the areas of Analytics, Data Mining, Big data, Statistics, and Databases. Vivek graduated with a Master's degree in Data Science and is actively seeking opportunities to apply his technical skill set, which includes ETL tools such as SQL, PL/SQL Informatica Power Center 9.x, Oracle DAC, and ODI 11g. He is also proficient in Reporting/Visualization tools such as SAP Crystal Reports, SAP Business Objects, OBIEE (11g,12c), Oracle DVD, Tableau, MS Excel, MS SSRS, Power BI, and SAS. His programming skills include C, Python, and R, and he has extensive experience working with databases such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL, and IBM DB2. He develops OLAP cubes using SSAS to achieve Self Service BI, designs, develops, and deploys Power BI Dashboards, discovers relationships in data across the enterprise to build Data Marts, uses BIML to create SSIS packages to support ETLs, and creates SQL server components to support the Datalake. Prior to joining Paycom, Vivek worked as a Data Analyst Graduate Assistant at Texas Tech University and as a Data Engineer/Business Intelligence Analyst at TCS. At Texas Tech University, he designed, developed, and deployed Tableau Dashboards showcasing Revenue trends for Athletics department, managed user permissions, roles, and user groups in Tableau, discovered relationships in data and understanding factors influencing Athletics ticket revenue and spending, and presented the results to TTU Athletics management and stakeholders. At TCS, he maintained and enhanced a large data warehouse system, designed basic and complex ETL interfaces based on business requirements, and developed Unix scripts to integrate other systems with ETL.
