Vivek Upreti is a seasoned technology enthusiast with over 10 years of experience in leading scalable release and quality initiatives across engineering functions. He currently serves as the Head of devX and QE at Mobile Premier League (MPL), where he has been a key member of the leadership team within Engineering and has directly interfaced with the executive team to define the engineering goals and roadmap. Vivek's core competency lies in setting up Release Engineering and QA Practices/Capabilities, Test automation frameworks, and enabling teams via processes and tools to deliver more. He provides thought leadership on all quality related issues and develops a comprehensive approach to managing quality across Engineering Organizations to drive customer experience change throughout the entire company. His specialties include Engineering leadership, Quality Assurance, Test Automation, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, DevOps Risk analysis and mitigation, Change Management, Release Management, Metrics Programs and Dashboards, and Project Management. Prior to his current role, Vivek founded Quiqua, a startup that enabled other startups to move faster with quality. Quiqua was later acquired by Gojek, where Vivek served as the Tools and Release Engineering. He also worked as a Test Transformation Consultant at Jio, streamlining QA practices and helping with the initial launches of Jiomart, reducing cycle time and failure rates. He encouraged shift left by bringing Continuous Integration culture and helped in hiring test leaders, managers, and leads. Vivek holds a Bachelor's degree in Technology from Dehradun Institute of Technology, where he majored in Information Technology. He has a strong tech stack comprising test, mobile, QA, SDET, CI/CD, Integration, DevOps, and infra. With 11.53 years of relevant experience, Vivek is an accomplished leader in the technology industry.
