Vivek Verma is a highly skilled Cloud and Database Architect with over 19 years of experience in the IT industry. Vivek is passionate about shaping the next generation of cloud computing and influencing the adoption and usage patterns among enterprise and web-scale customers. Vivek has a strong background in Oracle Applications Database Administration and is skilled in Linux System Administration, Oracle Application Server, Oracle RAC, Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud, and Amazon Cloud. He has extensive experience in planning, configuring, deploying, and operating cloud solutions. In his current role as a Cloud and Database Architect, Vivek is responsible for owning Oracle RAC clusters, working on a variety of development and maintenance projects in coordination with project and support teams. He is also responsible for upgrading, patching, and managing Oracle E-Business Suite, automating day-to-day activities like patching, cloning, and enhancing monitoring, and securing the application components and databases at each layer. At Rackspace, he managed cloud-enabled application management services for Oracle E-Business Suite that provided complete support for underlying hosted application infrastructure. Vivek was responsible for preparing technical plans for clients, managing Oracle Database and Oracle EBS instances on Oracle Cloud, and migrating and managing Oracle Database and Oracle EBS instances on AWS. Vivek holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Bathinda.
