Vivek Vasu is a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer at MoEngage Inc. with over 7 years of experience in software testing and automation. He has a strong background in science and engineering, which has enabled him to develop a deep understanding of the technical aspects of software development. Vivek is proficient in various programming languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Typescript, and Python. He has worked on developing UI and API test automation frameworks and test scripts for different web and desktop applications using tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Coded UI, Playwright, Cucumber, and SpecFlow. He is also experienced in using RestSharp, Postman, and Soap UI for API testing. Vivek has extensive experience in using GitLab, Bitbucket, TeamForge, and GitHub for version control and Jenkins and Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment. He is also proficient in using Maven and various testing frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, and MSTest. Currently, at MoEngage, Vivek has created a UI automation framework with Playwright-Pytest and developed around 400+ regression test cases. He has also contributed to the API test automation framework and guided teams in adopting it (Python - Requests). Additionally, he has developed a solution to verify the push notifications received on mobile devices using Python-Appium-BrowserStack and LambdaTest. He is responsible for the configuration and CICD implementation of Jenkins declarative pipeline. In his previous role at Enate Ltd, Vivek was responsible for the development of automated test scripts and performance test scripts of the application. He managed a team of 4 junior team members and drove all the automation activities of the product. Together they completed more than 400+ test cases in a very short span of time. Vivek holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology Management (PGDITM) from Symbiosis and a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from Bangalore University.
