Vivek Yadav is a seasoned engineer with over 13 years of experience in building high-performance large-scale distributed platforms in the enterprise/e-commerce domain. He is currently working as a Senior Principal Engineer at Koo India, where he is responsible for developing and delivering innovative products. Prior to his current role, Vivek has worked with some of the top companies in the industry, including Walmart and Redbus. At Walmart, he served as a Principal Engineer and led the architecture of Market Intelligence Platform, which is a web-scale data retrieval platform that can support large-scale crawls, flexible anti-bot defense strategies, and intelligent data extraction techniques. This platform processes hundreds of Terabytes of data per day and publishes several hundred million data points. He also led operational excellence, cloud efficiency, and cost optimization initiatives in Walmart. Before his role as a Principal Engineer, Vivek served as a Staff Software Engineer at Walmart, where he led the development of a third-party seller pricing platform to detect and publish/unpublish anomalous seller offers in near real-time. He also helped set up a global team of engineers spread across the USA and Ireland and led the team of engineers based in the US. He also led the architecture of Product Matching Platform to find similar products across Walmart catalog and competitors’ catalog to drive pricing and assortment intelligence initiatives. Vivek has a rich experience in selecting the open source solutions and public cloud stacks and has a strong technical background in web and software engineering.
