Vladimir Poliakov is a passionate machine learning practitioner with a background in applied mathematics, control theory, and computational science. He currently works as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Kaia Health, where he applies AI-powered technologies to personalized digital medicine and predictive health problems. Vladimir believes that machine learning is at the forefront of the technological revolution and has the potential to change the world for the better. At Kaia Health, Vladimir is responsible for digitizing multimodal therapies for chronic diseases, such as chronic back pain and other MSK conditions, and bringing them into patients' homes on their smartphones. He also works on Kaia's proprietary AI algorithms, which can analyze movements in real-time to evaluate performance and guide users through training. Prior to joining Kaia Health, Vladimir worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at iteratec gmbh. As the first employee of the company in the AI department, he took part in six projects and worked on topics such as log incoherence detection, object detection and recognition, semantic segmentation, network packets recognition, and trending topics detection. He also worked as an Oracle Siebel Developer at техносерв, where he developed and supported banking automated systems based on the Oracle Siebel CRM platform. Vladimir holds a Master of Science degree in Computational Science and Engineering from the Technical University Munich and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Bauman Moscow State Technical University. His technical skills include ML, AI, object detection, test, and integration.
