Vrinda Prabhu is a Senior Data Scientist at Cimpress with a passion for practical advancements in the field of Artificial Intelligence. With over 9 years of relevant experience, Vrinda has worked on developing niche solutions using computer vision and is now looking to explore and dive into NLP. She is mostly proficient in Python and is a Deep Learning practitioner. Vrinda is an active member of MLT (Machine Learning Tokyo), a Tokyo-based nonprofit organization dedicated to democratizing Machine Learning. She is on a quest to never stop learning and is always looking for ways to expand her knowledge in the field of AI. In her current role at Cimpress, Vrinda is responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to solve complex business problems. Prior to this, she worked at Tata Elxsi as a Machine Learning Specialist, leading and contributing to a dynamic team to create solutions using computer vision in the India Offshore R&D Center for a Japanese Home Appliance Group. She also had a brief and successful stint as a Technical Expert (Artificial Intelligence) for 5 months to assist the pre-sales team in the Japan region. During her time at Tata Elxsi, Vrinda was a proactive contributor in the development of AI on Board, a python-based framework to translate the models from TensorFlow/Keras to pure C. The aim of the project was to create a framework to act as a bridge between the deep learning solution developers and the semi-con experts. The project was highlighted as one of the Best 50 Innovative Applications in AI in NASSCOM (2018). Vrinda was also a winner (India-South) and finalist worldwide in Tata InnoVista-2018, a unique 'One Tata' platform for recognizing and celebrating innovations of the companies at the group level. Vrinda holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from BMS IT, VTU, and has a strong tech stack that includes Data Scientist, Research Scientist, ML, Computer Vision, Deep Learning, NLP, Python, AI, Keras, and TensorFlow.
