Wai Hsuen (Weixian) Chan is a highly skilled technologist, coder, and UX engineer with over 17 years of experience in the industry. Currently serving as the Co-Founder of dayone, a VC-backed startup, he is revolutionizing offline operations for stores by providing a turnkey solution that optimizes and streamlines frontline staff communication and collaboration. His mission is to make offline businesses as easy to run as online ones, and some of the features in their platform include day-to-day tasking feature with real-time analytics, bird-eye’s view of what all frontline employees are working on, FAQ notifications and quizzing, SOP reading automation and quizzing, and creating video and product tutorials for staff to learn. Prior to dayone, Wai Hsuen (Weixian) Chan was an Entrepreneur at Antler, a global early-stage venture capital firm that invests in the defining technology companies of tomorrow. He was also the Principal Advisor Engineering Lead at Rio Tinto, where he was responsible for bringing their vision of an integrated solution to their CTRM (Commodity Trading Risk Management) system to life. Wai Hsuen (Weixian) Chan has a diverse education history, having completed a Masterclass in Hyper Island, Design Thinking at Luma Institute, and Information Technology at QUT (Queensland University of Technology).
