Wasim Alam is an AI/ML Engineer at AppZen with a strong background in Materials Science. He completed his Bachelor of Technology in Materials Science from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2018. Wasim is a driven and resourceful individual who maintains a positive, proactive attitude when faced with adversity. Currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at AppZen, Wasim is broadly interested in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. He has experience in working on several end-to-end ML projects based on Classification problems, Anomaly Detection, and more. He has also set up the complete pipeline for the above ML model to run independently on the production server. Prior to AppZen, Wasim worked as a Technology Analyst at Citi Pune where he developed microservices using Spring Boot and worked on several end-to-end ML projects. He has also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at IIT Kanpur under the guidance of Dr. Sudhanshu Shekhar Singh, Dept. of Materials Science and Engineering. Wasim has a strong tech stack and is proficient in ML, AI, Python, AWS, Scikit, Computer Vision, Spring Boot, Neural Networks, Spring, OpenCV, Java, Research Scientist, SQL, Docker, Microservices, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Keras, Sagemaker, CNN, Deep Learning, NLP, Tensorflow, Pandas, Hadoop, Web, and Apache Hive.
