Wazir Ahmed is an experienced Software Engineer with a deep understanding of computer networks. He has been involved in projects related to Network Visibility for the past 3.5 years, mostly coding in C and Linux environment. Wazir is a polyglot programmer and proficient in C, C++, Rust, JavaScript, and Java. He is skilled in object-oriented and event-driven programming and has the ability to write good code that is modular, extensible, and less error-prone. Wazir has a keen eye for detail and can quickly skim through source codes to understand the overall architecture and code flows. Wazir has good knowledge of Linux and its internals. He is also well-versed in computer networks, TLS, HTTP, and WebSocket. Wazir is familiar with Linux control groups, namespaces, eBPF, and OCI runtime. He is currently working as a Software Engineer at AccuKnox, where he is responsible for developing software solutions related to network visibility. Before joining AccuKnox, Wazir worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Niagara Networks, where he developed a migration tool for Niagara Network customers to automate the process of migrating from one platform to another. He also prototyped GRE tunnel termination and initiation for Niagara Packet Brokers (NPB) based on Marvell chipset. Wazir fixed various memory leaks in NPB and helped team members to integrate open-source libraries such as libssh and libwebsockets with NPB. He also initiated efforts to adopt the OpenAPI specification for REST documentation and guided team members in integrating Swagger UI with NPB. Wazir has a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science from B.S. Abdur Rahman University, Chennai, India. He also completed his Class XII in Computer Science from St. Joseph's Higher Secondary School, Cuddalore, India. Wazir has relevant experience of 5.78 years and possesses a tech stack that includes Software Engineering, Java, JavaScript, UI, and Web.
