Weiping Hu is a highly experienced Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, with over 23 years of relevant experience in the field. He is currently working on the Azure Compute team, where he is responsible for developing tools and services to manage Azure buildout across the globe. Weiping is passionate about solving problems with new tools and evolving software composition experience to support large-scale collaborations. He is a visionary who aims to create a Capacity Infrastructure Services (CIS) platform that automates hardware and device provisioning/de-provisioning functions, data center operations, and business processes. This platform will enable Microsoft services to manage capacity in a consistent, efficient, and secure way. Prior to his current role, Weiping worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft and a Senior SDE at Metrowerks. He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Weiping's technical skills include Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering, Azure, and infra. He is a highly skilled professional who has contributed significantly to the development of the software industry.
