Weizhong Chen is a highly skilled software engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in the industry. Currently employed at Google, he serves as a Software Engineer in the YouTube Ads Team - Brand safety and ads targeting. In this role, he is responsible for building ML infrastructures that support YouTube video/channel/playlist classification. Prior to joining Google, Weizhong worked at NVIDIA as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. During his tenure, he served as the tech lead of Quadro Sync from the kernel driver side. He designed new software architecture of versioning and HAL, providing better efficiency, extensibility, and reusability. He also developed the kernel driver on Quadro Sync II and provided driver support from bring-up to late-stage pre-production. Additionally, he implemented features like memory management, GPU Boost, Scalable Link Interface, and device initialization. He also participated in bring-up and NPI activities for Pascal GPUs, providing kernel driver support and validation. Weizhong holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Automation from Beihang University. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in various tech stacks, including Software Engineering, ML, and infra.
