Werner Bezuidenhout is a seasoned Senior Product Manager for Data & Analytics at Holidu. He is responsible for defining and driving the data and analytics roadmap, grooming the requirements backlog, and consulting all stakeholders in the company on the self-service analytics capabilities and the benefits of using the centralized data and analytics platform. Werner leads a team of data engineers to deliver a central big data platform that serves the analytics and data science communities. With over 16 years of relevant experience, Werner has worked with several companies, including Sixt and TFG (The Foschini Group). During his time at Sixt, he was responsible for modernizing the Data & Analytics platform, which entailed migrating the company's data assets from on-premise to the cloud. He established the Data Shop, defined and implemented the roadmap for the Data Shop together with the team, aligned with stakeholders across all business units on Data Shop initiatives and prioritization, and ensured governance and legal compliance of all data assets. Werner also established the self-service analytics platform, facilitated user training and support, maintained user documentation, and consulted stakeholders on available data assets and their potential usage and value within the organization. As a Senior Business Intelligence Business Analyst at TFG, Werner was responsible for the Enterprise Data Model, which entailed identifying subject areas that could enhance the data model and ensuring that these subject areas were integrated into the Enterprise Data Warehouse. He managed business requirements elicitation and life cycle management, conceptual and logical data model design, solution evaluation, as well as project management activities on small to medium projects. Werner holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Stellenbosch, a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours in Informatics from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Informatics from the same institution. He also completed his Matric (Grade 12) at Fochville High School. Werner's tech stack includes product management, Big Data, Data Warehouse, and Data Scientist.
