Will Chen is a people-oriented FE Software Engineer with over 17 years of experience in the industry. He is a world citizen who believes in spreading love, smiles, hugs, and kisses. Will has an extensive background in user-facing software development, with diverse experience in gaming, mobile, and web applications. His primary focus is on working collaboratively with Product and Design teams to deliver software that best serves customers. Will is a rare combination of technical and interpersonal skills, making him an excellent team player and leader. Currently, Will works as a Software Engineer at Vesta, where he is responsible for developing high-quality software solutions. He has previously worked as a Frontend Engineer at a stealth startup and as a Software Design Engineer at HTC Innovations. At HTC, Will was part of the Innovation team that created new Android apps for HTC phones. He contributed to developing the first two versions of the TV app for the HTC One (M7) and HTC One (M8), enabling users to control their TV directly from their phone. Additionally, he worked on the HTC Zoe app for both Android and iOS, an innovative way of showcasing photos and videos on a mobile device. Will holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics, Minor Music degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo. He also has additional training from Peak Potentials. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Frontend Development, UI Design, Mobile Development, Web Development, and Infrastructure.
