Prior to Xendit, Willem worked at Traveloka as a Software Engineer, where he developed back-end implementations for one of the emerging sub-products using Java-based frameworks and PostgreSQL databases. He also maintained deliverables and releases through a CI/CD framework and AWS-based infrastructure. In addition, he communicated with various stakeholders and teams to ensure scalable and timely end-to-end completions for multiple projects. As a Software Development Engineer Intern at GDP Labs, Willem developed the front-end of production-grade applications using Angular 2+ and Progressive Web Application technology. He also assisted in the development of back-end applications using Spring Boot Framework and PostgreSQL/MySQL databases. Furthermore, he explored the implementation of PWA and NLU-based chatbot in developing web applications and implemented an Information Retrieval algorithm (TF-IDF) in Java. Willem holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence from Universitas Bina Nusantara (BINUS).
