Will Beason is a PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin, where he is studying ethical and sustainable AI. With a background in both programming and mathematics, he has a passion for working with large sets of data and building models to understand complex systems. Will firmly believes that data can be used to make the world a better place, and he is committed to advancing the field of AI in a responsible and ethical manner. Currently, Will's research focuses on developing AI automation using key technologies such as natural language processing, Bayesian classifiers, and learned heuristics. He has also worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Texas, where he authored an online LaTeX textbook, developed and graded assignments, and gave weekly lectures on LaTeX. Prior to his work at the University of Texas, Will was a senior software engineer at Google, where he developed GKE Policy Management tools and software. He has a strong technical background and is well-versed in a range of technologies, including AI, data science, NLP, software engineering, and research science. Will holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Texas, as well as a degree in Mathematical Sciences and Physics from the United States Military Academy at West Point. With 8.71 years of relevant experience, he is a skilled and knowledgeable professional who is dedicated to advancing the field of AI and using data to make the world a better place.
