William Holt is a Sr. UI Engineer at Tonic Inc. with a non-traditional background in web development. He attended Auburn University where he received a B.A. in Public Relations and a minor in Psychology. His focus has always been on building relationships and helping clients achieve their goals. However, after graduation, he discovered a new passion in life that spurred a career shift towards web development. William made a change by attending General Assembly’s Web Development Immersive course in Atlanta, GA to study web development. His non-traditional path has led him to Denver, Co where he works with Tonic Inc. delivering high-quality custom software to clients across industries. William has 6.70 years of relevant experience in the field of UI, Web, Frontend, AngularJS, and Integration. He has worked with Tonic Inc. as a UX Developer and currently as a Sr. UI Engineer. He has also worked with Planomatic as a Contract Senior Frontend Developer where he led an internationally dispersed team to rebuild a robust AngularJS web application into Angular 8 while incorporating major UX upgrades and bringing the application up to date on modern front-end practices including CSS Grid and Flex, ES6 standards, semantic markup, and others. He has created countless features from the ground up including an advanced drag and drop system, internationalization in Spanish and Portuguese, support for three separate user roles, caching systems and local storage integration, and many performance optimizations. William's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Auburn University and a Web Development course from General Assembly. His tech stack includes UI, Web, Frontend, AngularJS, and Integration. William is a highly motivated and skilled individual with a passion for delivering high-quality custom software to clients.
