Xiaotian Cheng is a highly inquisitive data scientist with a master's degree in data science and extensive experience in integrating advanced techniques such as machine learning, natural language processing, and recommender systems to transform business problems into opportunities. With previous work experience as a Java developer, Xiaotian blends traditional software engineering knowledge with data science-related skills such as Python and NoSQL. During Xiaotian's journey to obtaining a master's degree, they were exposed to programming in Python, R, and SAS programming, business intelligence ecosystem creation, data visualization using Tableau and SAP Lumira, applied machine learning methods, including supervised and unsupervised learning, applied statistical analysis methods with SPSS, web scraping, natural language processing, and social media analytics. Xiaotian continues to upgrade their knowledge in data science and artificial intelligence by joining the SuperDataScience Community and assisting in the creation of several Artificial Intelligence courses in dual language. Xiaotian's past work experience includes being a software engineer at DHC, where they were in charge of several major sub-process programs developing and testing, and a customer fulfillment role at IBM, where they were in charge of IBM business partner onboarding and contract annual renewal process. Xiaotian has a master of science degree in data science and business analysis from Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU/APIIT), a licentiate degree in Java development from Dalian Neusoft University of Information, and a bachelor's degree in linguistics from Tianjin Foreign Studies University.
