Y Usha completed her Master of Design (M.Des) in Mechanical Systems from IIITDM Kancheepuram, Chennai, in 2014, and her Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Vignan's Institute of Information Technology, Vizag, AP, in 2012. She also holds a 12th-grade degree in Science Stream from Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, SVN, Vizag, AP, and a 10th-grade degree in Maths, Science, and Social Science from Kendriya Vidyalaya Happy Valley, Shillong, Meghalaya.
