Yash Agarwal is a talented DevOps Engineer with a strong background in software engineering and experience in Big Data, Machine Learning, and AWS infrastructure. He is currently studying for a Bachelor of Technology in ECE at the prestigious Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT A), and has already gained valuable industry experience through internships at Cisco and Expedia. During his time at Cisco, Yash worked as an Industrial IoT SW Intern, where he was responsible for developing a prototype on Unified Threat Defense and enabling the feature of custom industry-specific security signatures for customers. He also wrote snort-based Industrial specific IoT security rules for SCADA systems and helped in virtualizing Cisco's Trinity IoT gateway. Additionally, Yash enabled Confd and IDA(IoT Device Agent) services for Virtual Trinity Image. At Expedia, Yash worked as an Associate SDE Intern, where he built a 5-star rating system for the tags of the properties by extracting them from user reviews. He implemented a ML Statistical model called Bayesian Average from scratch in Pyspark and computed tag ratings for data of over 100 million reviews using Big data tools like Qubole, Hive-Tables, and Pyspark. He also pushed the computed data to AWS Elasticsearch for client use. Yash's technical skills include Software Engineering, DevOps, Spring, AWS, Big Data, ML, Elastic Search, and Apache Hive. He has 1.69 years of relevant experience and is a proactive problem solver who enjoys working in a team environment.
