With a strong academic background, he holds a Master of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee with specialization in Industrial Metallurgy and was awarded for securing Highest Cumulative Performance Index in the third & final year of B.E (Mechanical). Yashkumar's role at Varroc involves looking into the metallurgical and materials aspects during the development of new products and carrying out detailed failure investigation of various engine valve train components such as Valves, Camshaft, etc. He possesses the ability to perform material characterization using advanced techniques like SEM-EDAX, XRD and is responsible for IC engine testing & Simulated engine valve rig testing system for validation of the products to ascertain product satisfactory performance. Yashkumar has 4.43 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, having previously worked at Varroc as a Master Engineer Trainee in the R&D department and at Dresser-Rand - a Siemens business as a Metallurgical Engineer. He is a quality professional certified with Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and has a keen interest in metallurgical work pertaining to the connection between the research laboratory & production in the automotive industry.
