Yi Jia is an experienced data scientist with over 10 years of relevant experience in machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing. He is currently working as a Data Scientist II at eBay, where he is responsible for building NLP models to improve the eBay seller's selling experiences. Prior to joining eBay, Yi Jia worked as a Senior Data Scientist at GroundTruth, where he designed and built the underlying location data layer for mobile location marketplaces. He also modeled brand affiliation and store visitation for location-based campaigns and optimized and modeled mobile online advertising bidding strategy and KPI (CTR, SAR). Before that, he worked as a Machine Learning Data Scientist at Intertrust, where he worked on personal profile inference for target audience advertising based on user cell phone data (Mobile APP and Location data). Yi Jia holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Kansas, where he conducted research in machine learning and data mining. He also holds a Master's degree in Information Science from Ritsumeikan University and another Master's degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
