Yongbo Li is a Research Scientist at Facebook, where he specializes in Video Infrastructure and the optimization of live streaming infrastructure behind Facebook's key video products. With a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University, Yongbo has extensive experience in Mobile Computing, Edge Computing, and Security. During his Ph.D. program, he worked on several projects, including mobile security and edge computing-assisted mobile workload offloading, which he demonstrated in various demos. At Facebook, Yongbo has worked on several projects, including the Live Streaming SDK project, which enables all main Facebook products, including FB main app, FB Lite, Instagram, FB gaming, and more, to go live easily. He is currently working on the OS part of Project Aria, a research device that is worn like regular glasses and will help Facebook build the software and hardware necessary for future AR devices. Prior to joining Facebook, Yongbo worked as a Summer Research Intern at Nokia, where he worked in Network Intelligence and Control Systems Research Group.
