Yudai Yaguchi is an English/Japanese bilingual studying Computer Science, Mathematics, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. With a keen interest in software engineering, Yudai has gained experience in end-to-end software development and leadership skills, making him an asset to any organization. Throughout his college years, Yudai has focused on learning application development skills through projects and internships, diversifying his skillset by enrolling and acing various computer science and business classes. He has developed strong teamwork and communication skills by being the tech lead of an engineering student organization focused on renewable energy projects. Yudai takes pride in his ongoing learning efforts and finds joy in extending this knowledge and experience to others. He has made it a point in his previous roles to keep active communication between himself and the project shareholders, as he highly values constant feedback. His most significant interest is full-stack engineering and front-end engineering. To improve his skillset and contribute to people, Yudai is building a beverage ordering system for Venture Café Tokyo as a volunteer. He is also improving his portfolio/blog, which exists to share his experiences and learnings as an international student and software developer. Yudai has worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Venture Café Tokyo, developing a beverage ordering system with basic CRUD functions and QR code check-in. He has also worked as a Front-End Engineer Intern at Sonet Media Networks Corp, where he developed a web client which displays companies’ online advertisement performances using React, Redux, and TypeScript. He also introduced Python and Data Science via research to improve the accuracy of the company’s Ad selection machine learning model. Currently, Yudai works as a Software Engineer at PayPal, where he is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications. Yudai has 2.86 years of relevant experience and possesses a strong tech stack, including Software Engineering, Frontend, Javascript, NodeJS, Senior Software Engineering, Web, Backend, ML, Typescript, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, and Redux. Yudai's ongoing learning efforts, strong communication skills, and diverse skillset make him an excellent candidate for any software engineering role.
