Yury Degtyarev is a highly skilled Machine Learning / Computer Vision Algorithm Engineer with over 14 years of relevant experience. He is currently working at a stealth company, where he is utilizing his expertise in Computer Vision and ML to develop cutting-edge algorithms. Yury has previously worked at Apple, where he shipped several iPhone/iPad camera features, including Cinematic mode, Portrait mode, Portrait Lighting, and Deep Fusion. He was the lead developer and primary inventor of the Portrait Lighting Live Preview feature. Yury has also worked as a Visiting Researcher at Microsoft, where he contributed to several projects, including the Holoportation telepresence system and the Fusion4D computer vision project. He has also demonstrated the Holoportation system live at TED.
