Yuyu (Neil) Qian is a motivated and skilled Master of Computer Science student at Rice University with a passion for software engineering. He has extensive experience in various programming languages including Swift, C++/C, Java, Python, and Javascript. Yuyu is proficient in iOS development, web development, network, operating system, and database system. He is seeking a full-time position as a software engineer and is open to opportunities in database, backend, and full-stack development. Currently, Yuyu is working as an iOS Tech Fellow at CodePath, where he has created a movie listing app and a Twitter app using Twitter APIs. He has also developed a Tip Calculator app using Swift with two view controllers, storing default settings in UserDefaults and async functions for JSON object parsing from HTTP get request, with views auto-updating during lifecycles. Yuyu has posted his app on the Apple app store and has garnered dozens of users. In addition to his technical skills, Yuyu is a LGBTQIA ally, BLM supporter, and feminist. Yuyu has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and is set to complete his Master's degree in Computer Science from Rice University in January 2021. He has relevant experience of 6.35 years, including a summer internship at Paycom.
