Yves Junqueira is the Co-Founder and CEO of YourBase, a software build and test tool that simplifies and accelerates CI and local development. With over 19 years of relevant experience, Yves has a deep understanding of software development, testing, and deployment. Prior to founding YourBase, Yves worked as a Senior Reliability Engineer at Google, where he created and led the development of a popular internal Go microservices framework that added load-shedding, better logging, monitoring, and several other reliability features. He was also a tech lead for a Site Reliability Engineering team, where he led or consulted on the design and operation of large-scale production systems. Yves is an expert on large-scale distributed storage systems, such as Bigtable, Colossus, and Spanner. He has worked on the design, implementation, and deployment of large-scale automation and orchestration systems and is passionate about release, rollouts, and developer productivity. Yves also worked as a Linux Support Technician at Rimuhosting.com, where he was responsible for systems administration and support for a large base of customers with heterogeneous and stressed Linux environments. He troubleshooted complex problems with Linux and network on a daily basis and implemented and supported large volume, digg.com-featured sites. The majority of his support work was related to virtualized servers, with limited resources. He also provided pre-sales and sales support. Yves holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the Universidade de Brasília and completed a course in Computer Networks from SENAI/CETRESG. His tech stack includes SRE, test, microservices, and DevOps. Yves is committed to helping developers stay "in the zone" doing their best work and is always looking for ways to simplify and accelerate software development.
