Zaid Tergaon is a highly skilled software developer with a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technology to solve complex problems. With over three years of experience working at SAP Labs India, Zaid has contributed to a wide range of research and development projects, including those focused on Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and Software Development. Currently working as a Web Developer for SAP Analytics Cloud, Zaid has developed a utility plugin that has significantly improved the productivity of engineers in quality assurance. He has also resolved various bugs and customer incidents, automated a large number of test cases, and resolved flaky spec issues that occurred during Jenkins build. In his previous role as an NLP Engineer for SAP Conversational AI, Zaid worked on a Machine Learning Proof of Concept called Intelligent Log Feed. He developed a Recurrent Neural Network that helped the platform recognize gibberish text and categorize it under the appropriate intent. Zaid also benchmarked the model's performance on several parameters, developed a celery application for asynchronous transfer of chat logs, and evaluated the threshold limit of bot logs that can be transferred in one go through CAI Transport Agent. During his internship as a Computer Vision Intern for SAP Solution Experience, Zaid built a Facial Expression Recognition System for SAP's standalone smart mini vending machine. He trained a Convolutional Neural Network with VGGNet Architecture, resulting in an accuracy of 95%, developed a flask application to render the system, captured, compressed, and stored snaps in Amazon S3 buckets, and mounted the application on Raspberry Pi. Zaid holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Karnatak University, where he gained a strong foundation in software engineering, neural networks, machine learning, and data science. He is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including web development, NLP, computer vision, AI, Jenkins, Redis, Flask, and more.
