Zhaozhong Ni is a highly experienced Chief Technology Officer at CertiK, with a career spanning over 16 years in the technology industry. Zhaozhong started his career at Hewlett Packard, where he architected, designed, and implemented two best-in-class major features of 3PAR InForm OS. He was responsible for live kernel patching to provide non-interruptive updates for Linux-based OS kernel in mission-critical environments, and storage quality of service (QoS) to provide real-time IO rates, bandwidth, and latency guarantees and restrictions with priority differentiation for heavyweight, distributed, and multi-tenancy I/O loads. The QoS design is highly flexible and future-proof, and the implementation performs exceptionally well in modern all-flash configurations unseen at the design time, as verified by a recent 3rd party test report. In a 3rd party research report, the QoS feature has been rated as #1 in class today. Prior to joining Hewlett Packard, Zhaozhong worked as a software engineer at 3PAR, which was later acquired by Hewlett Packard. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from Yale University and a BE in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
